Andrew Bird is seen as just a lad, by everyone except for actual lads. As a white, English, straight, male he has plenty to apologise for. Everyone’s looking for something to feel part of, whether it’s a sense of national pride, a religion or a drunken stag do. A show about the consequences of trying too hard to be liked by everyone.
